Event Summary
The Cannstatter Volksfest is the world's second largest beer festival after Oktoberfest, founded only eight years after its larger counterpart and starts one week later than the Munich festival each year. The Cannstatter Wasen, the about 25-hectare fairground along the Neckar, becomes an intercultural meeting place. People from different nations and generations laugh, sing and celebrate together here for 17 days in an exuberant atmosphere until late in the evening.
